Bonbons Emporium

This is the second Bonbons Bakery store designed by s2dio-X, located within Emporium Melbourne. The tenancy is compact and presented a clear planning challenge: the client required a substantial bread display area while also accommodating large bakery equipment within the back-of-house.

The design response focuses on maximising visibility and flexibility. A portion of the side wall is opened to increase shopfront exposure and improve sightlines into the store, strengthening customer engagement from the mall circulation. Internally, the central island display is designed on castors, allowing the owner to adjust its position as needed—providing operational flexibility and maintaining comfortable customer circulation during peak trading periods.
