The brief involves the design and documaentation of a residential extension for a family of four, including a full re-planning and refurbishment of the existing house to suit the lifestyle of a young family. The new works introduce a generous 4-metre-high living space and a new master suite positioned to the rear, engaging directly with the garden setting.

The planning is carefully oriented to optimise morning sunlight to the master bedroom, while cross-ventilation is integrated throughout to support passive comfort and a more sustainable, low-energy home. The backyard is conceived as an active family zone, incorporating a generous paved play area for safe everyday use and a flexible outdoor setting that can readily transform into a night-time movie space.
