Kowen Residence

s2dio-X is honoured to act as Architect for this luxury residence in Box Hill. The commission comprises the full design development and documentation of a contemporary two-storey family home for a household of six.

The design intent centres on calmness and retreat—an architecture of quiet moments, where light, proportion, and materiality cultivate a serene living environment.

The planning is oriented to maximise morning sun to all bedrooms. In response to the limited external outlook beyond the POS garden, the proposal introduces a double-height internal void with a landscaped garden court, enriching spatial quality, drawing daylight deep into the home, and strengthening the residents’ connection to nature.
